Where to Donate this Holiday Season

There are so many charities and non-profits to donate to this holiday season, here are just a couple to consider!

• Center for Reproductive Rights

  A global, legal, advocacy organization that advocates for reproductive rights for ALL. They have expanded access to reproductive care in the courtroom, working with policy makers to promote progression. They have worked with women on documenting abuse cases, as well as educating on reproductive health and human rights.

• Detroit Rescue Mission

  For over 100 years DRMM has rebuilt lives destroyed by addiction, homelessness, and poverty. They believe in treating the whole person to make permanent changes. They offer food, shelter, treatment for addiction, access to affordable healthcare, education, and more.

• Gleaners Community Food bank

  Their mission is to provide households with access to sufficient nutritious foods, and similar resources. For 41 years, they have provided food to 528 partner soup kitchens, shelters, and agencies in Southeast Michigan.

• Planned Parenthood of MI

  PPMI has been around since 1922 and their mission is to “promote healthy communities and the right of all individuals to manage their sexual health by proving health care and education and serving as a strong advocate for reproductive justice”. Recently, due to the Trump Administration, Planned Parenthood has lost a large portion of their funding. Putting a financial burden on patients who are unable to pay fully for crucial services.

Such a great, cute coffee shop! Good amount of indoor seating, tons of natural light. Love how cozy and comfy everything is and how many outlets there are! They have coffee and espresso drinks as well as a few light pastry items. Additionally, they have merchandise for purchase. Very friendly staff. A must hit location if you’re in the Warehouse District of TC!
