Welcome to this week’s coffee chat, an occasional series where I talk about a local MI coffee shop and chat on Instagram about other current events.
Theme:
Thanksgiving traditions
Being that this week is Thanksgiving week, I figured keep it easy with things that are already going to be happening! This week I’m so excited to eat up TONS of green bean casserole and mashed potatoes (my two favorite Thanksgiving dishes – which conveniently come out at Christmas time too, why can’t they be a year-round thing?).
As well as cut down a Christmas Tree the day after Thanksgiving, a family tradition I love. Comment on Instagram or down below any family traditions you have during the holidays.
I know my partner Dave will be sitting in front of the TV on Thanksgiving, hoping the Lions pull through. Any other football fans out there? I don’t mind watching it, but prefer college football over pros.
Any other Thanksgiving traditions out there? We used to always play “Left, Right, Center” also known as “The quarters game”. Usually we’ll scan through the Black Friday flyers. I hate how stores open on Thanksgiving now, it’s really not fair to people and who even wants to shop at 5pm on Thanksgiving?!
In any case, I hope everyone has a great day filled with whatever you enjoy!

THOUGHTS:
I absolutely love this coffee shop. Good amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Tons of flavors to add to your coffee. They sell light breakfast items like bagels, muffins, pastries. Lots of extremely cute merchandise. Friendly staff. A must hit location if you’re traveling through Sleeping Bear Dunes!
